Ziggy Scribs : This is the brioche palette cleanser you’ve been waiting for! A kerchief-style cowl, which is knit flat then seamed together, knit using a super fun two-color brioche zig zag pattern.
Great pattern for gift giving!!
I developed this cowl pattern to use only 2 skeins total of Bulky weight yarn, it knits up so quickly!! It is inspired by both my Unda Cowl, and my Zig Zag Scribble shawl. Brooklyn Tweed Quarry is a delightful woolen-spun yarn that knits up so beautifully and is so lightweight, but any Bulky weight yarn will work for this quick pattern! Even your gorgeous hand-spun! Just be sure each skein has at least 200 yards / 183 meters. I used almost all of my yarn for this!

Construction Notes
This easy-to-wear cowl is knit from side to side and flat, then seamed together to mimic an asymmetrical triangle shawl shape! After seaming, you will be able to throw it on so easily over your favorite outfit to give it the perfect style!
You will knit this cowl flat, exactly like an asymmetrical triangle shawl knit from side to side. You will cast on very few stitches, then increasing stitches only on the left edge of the cowl. The super fun brioche zig zags will begin immediately and grow in number as the cowl grows. You will continue the repetitive pattern until binding off. After blocking the cowl, you will seam it together using the Mattress Stitch. Photo and video tutorials are included to help you.
I love this cowl style because it totally looks like you’re wearing an asymmetrical triangle shawl, my favorite shawl shape! But this one won’t fall off your shoulders, and knits up super fast in Bulky weight yarn.
