Construction Notes
This easy-to-wear cowl is knit from side to side and flat, then seamed together to mimic an asymmetrical triangle shawl shape! After seaming, you will be able to throw it on so easily over your favorite outfit to give it the perfect style!

You will knit this cowl flat, exactly like an asymmetrical triangle shawl knit on the bias. You will cast on very few stitches, then increasing stitches only on the right edge of the cowl. The fascinating brioche faux cables will begin immediately and grow in number as the cowl grows. You will continue the repetitive pattern until binding off. After blocking the cowl, you will seam it together using the Mattress Stitch (extensive blocking and seaming instructions included with pattern, as well as video tutorial links for techniques used and exactly how I seamed my cowl together).

I love this cowl style because it totally looks like you’re wearing an asymmetrical triangle shawl, my favorite shawl shape! But this one won’t fall off your shoulders, and knits up super fast in DK weight yarn.

One Size
37” / 94 cm circumference once seamed and 27” / 68.5 cm deep, measured after blocking.

13 sts x 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm; measured in even two-color brioche stitch knit flat (taken after blocking).
